What a summer it has been! I was blessed to get in a bit of work and pleasure this summer in Europe. I travelled to my heart’s content and spent 9 weeks having a ball exploring vegan treats everywhere. I had a blast rekindling old memories and making new ones. Without further adieu, these are my Summer Moments Of The Month!
Before this holiday I had never been to Brixton, so I had no idea what it expect. Having never heard glowing reviews about it, it was not really on my bucket list. From what I understand it used to be quite a run-down area that has now being revamped and is now the new up-and-coming ‘it’ place in South London. I may have been sceptical at first but, my day in Brixton turned out to be a whirlwind adventure and I am utterly in love with the place.
If you follow My Kitchen Garden series, you’ll know I’ve recently developed a green thumb. I am no gardening expert, but I love reading up on horticulture and how to help my plants become their best. I am unabashedly proud of my kitchen garden as I put a lot of work into it. Being a proud momma does make one slightly biased, but I have always secretly thought my kitchen garden was a cut above the rest.. Until I saw this urban garden in Haarlem.
I was very lucky to be invited on a four-day cruise to the Portuguese Islands by my lovely sister, so of course, I took the opportunity to go picture crazy and make it a food adventure. Having never been on a boat of that size, saying I was excited is a serious understatement. In the days leading up to the cruise, it’s a wonder I slept at all! I can safely say it has been one of the most wonderful experiences and it is something I would love to do again.
